Pesto Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of shelled walnuts
  • 1 large handful (about 2 tight cups) basil
  • 1 large handful of spinach (same as basil).
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast (optional)
  • A little bit of water (2-3 tablespoons) to help with the blending

Preparation

  1. Place all items in the blender and blend until smooth and creamy. 
  2. Serve over cooked warm pasta.
