Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 250 grams of strawberry-flavored vegan yogurt
- 1 cup of plant based milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for the glaze)
- 2 teaspoons of strawberry puree (indications in the recipe)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- To make the strawberry puree, put the strawberries in a small pot with 1/4 cup of water and bring to a boil with the lid on covered. Strain the strawberries and save the water that should be red and full of strawberry flavor. Reserve.
- To the strawberries that were left from the previous step, add the sugar and cook to make a puree, crushing the strawberries as they cook. Put this strawberry mixture in a bowl and add the vegan yogurt, the milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix.
- Add the flour, baking power, and baking soda. Mix lightly to form a dough.
- Use a dounut baking pan to form the donuts by pouring dough into each mold. You can use a pastry bag and cutting a large enough whole at the end for this step.
- Bake them at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until they are fluffy and lightly golden.
- Take the strawberry extract and add it to the powdered sugar to make the glaze. Once the donuts are cool, dip them on one side to decorate them. Let the glaze dry and serve!
