Vegan Chocolate Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups white wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar (you may use less if you want them less sweet)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate or carob powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar

 

 


 

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix the flour, salt, baking powder, chocolate and sugar by passing them all together through a sieve.
  3. Using a separate bowl, put all the liquid ingredients, and mix them until the oil emulsifies.
  4. Combine the two mixtures, the dry ingredients with the liquid ones and mix them lightly until they form a very smooth dough.
  5. Put the dough by tablespoons in cupcake liners placed in a cupcake/muffin mold.
  6. Put the cupcakes in the oven bake for 20 minutes. Let them cool to serve.
