Basil Hummus Tahini

This is like the perfect combination of hummus and pesto. Eat it with bread or even with pasta!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chickpeas.
  • 1 clove garlic.
  • Juice from half a lemon.
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of Tahini (sesame paste).
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • A handfull of fresh basil leaves.

Preparation

  1. Put everything in a food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. If it's too thick, add some of the water where the chickpeas were cooked.
  3. And vualá. Enjoy.

Tip: When serving, to decorate, add some olive oil, basil leaves, and paprika.
